What you will need:
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 can (300 mL) Eagle Brand® Regular sweetened condensed milk (I’m brand picky when it comes to making fudge you don’t have to be)
Steps to yummy goodness:
1. Combine sweetened condensed milk with maple syrup, brown sugar and butter. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture becomes a rich brown color, about 20 minutes or until a small amount of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
2. Remove from heat and spread mixture into parchment paper lined 8×8″ pan.
3. Sprinkle chopped nuts of your choice on top before letting it cool (This step is optional)
4. Cool completely and cut into squares.
When it comes to step 3, you can sprinkle nuts on top or stir it in to the fudge before it cools. Both ways still leave you with some super yummy fudge.
